Sea Sinkin'

I sank and I kept sinking

like lead had filled my bones

and when I cracked the surface all my muscles started shrinking.

It was then that I did some thinking

and when I passed 100 feet the lead was joined by stones

yes I sank and I kept sinking.

Deeper depths brought deeper breaths and my eyes began to blinking

silence was broken by a whale and her far -off sad sea moan

I thought when I cracked the surface I felt my muscles start to shrinking

but it might have only been my mind and the souls I had been drinking

for nothing gets me so damn mad as you faceless on your throne

So I sank and I kept sinking.

Yes all things sultry are kept deep down and their lashes stopped from winking

And modest scripture keeps it blessed etched on dear tombstone

How strange to have felt just then my muscles begin their shrinking…

But all is even when eyes go blank and corpses start their stinking

There are no lips to sweetly kiss underground and all alone

So I’ll sink and keep on sinking.

I decide to hide

On some days it gets hard to hide from

all things innate are not within me

I’m all filled up with doubt makes me wonder how come.

But my brain and my soul sometimes do go numb

and I often wonder if my eyes soon will see

but on some days it gets hard to hide from.

Why even sometimes I wish for deaf, blind, and dumb,

cause I’m far too tired getting blinded by artsy

I’m all filled up with doubt makes me wonder how come

all of my work makes imitation seem some

kind of a puzzle, and creation a mystery

yes on some days it gets hard to hide from.

Somber thoughts make me inside out dumb;

tight guts, clenched mind all make hard to be

I’m all filled up with doubt makes me wonder how come.

All words are absorbed through the print on my thumb

some day I’ll see that my thoughts can be free

but on this day it’s too hard to hide from.
